An advanced nitrox supervisor course is designed for divers who want to enhance their technical diving skills and become leaders in their diving team. This course focuses on the use of advanced nitrox mixes, which contain higher levels of oxygen than standard air mixes. The course covers topics such as gas management, decompression planning, safety procedures, and diving equipment. Students will learn about the properties of different gases and how to blend nitrox mixes to create safe and effective breathing gas for various depths and dive profiles. They will also learn about dive planning, including how to schedule decompression stops and manage gas usage during the dive. The course typically includes classroom sessions, practical applications, and open water dive experiences. Students will also learn about emergency management and rescue techniques, including how to provide first aid to divers who experience decompression sickness or other diving-related injuries. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to supervise and lead advanced nitrox dives safely and effectively. They will also have a deeper understanding of technical diving concepts and will be able to communicate effectively with fellow divers and instructors.
