The CCR Advanced Nitrox course is a diving course designed for divers who wish to use a CCR (closed-circuit rebreather) for deep and extended-range diving. The course teaches divers how to use a CCR system safely and effectively for dives with decompression requirements. The course covers different topics that include: - The physics and physiology of using a CCR system - Planning and executing dive plans with decompression requirements - Using Nitrox gasses to extend dive times - Gas analysis and management - Emergency procedures and rescue techniques By the end of the course, divers are expected to have developed safe CCR diving habits, including gas management, dive planning, and execution while mitigating risks associated with diving to deeper depths. To take the CCR Advanced Nitrox course, pre-requisites for certification include owning a CCR system, being an equivalent of Open Water Diver/Advanced Open Water Diver/Rescue Diver, and being trained in Nitrox diving.
