The IANTD EANx Instructor course is a certification program designed for scuba diving instructors who wish to develop their skills and knowledge in teaching Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx) diving. This course covers a comprehensive range of topics, including the physics and physiology of EANx diving, proper equipment selection and preparation, how to plan and conduct EANx dives, and how to instruct students on the safe use of EANx. To be eligible for the IANTD EANx Instructor course, candidates must hold an Open Water Scuba Instructor certification (or equivalent) from a recognized training organization and have a minimum of 150 logged dives. Throughout the course, participants will engage in classroom lectures, practical exercises, and open water dives. They will also learn how to effectively teach the IANTD EANx Diver course to students, including how to introduce and explain the benefits of EANx diving, how to conduct proper analysis of EANx tanks, how to calculate no-decompression limits, and how to manage and mitigate risks associated with EANx diving. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an IANTD EANx Instructor certification, which allows them to teach EANx diving courses at their respective dive centers or training facilities.
